Never buy this

Worst ever unreliable product for new home. Replaced three times. Product is ineffective and has consistent fairure w our Goodman heat pump which requires this thermostat? Soon our one year warranty expires without heat or air consistently. We are on our third of these.

Minimal features

Wow who would think that a brand new digital thermostat would have many less features than the 20-year old tstat it replaced?? My old one could do four time slots per day (wake, leave, return, sleep), this has a measly wake and sleep. Seriously? Also the old tstat had Heat, Cool, Auto, Off and new has no Auto. I've had this less than a day and am already unimpressed. Might have to come back and reduce to one-star if it dies as quickly as others here state.

One out of three working correctly at install.

Had 3 installed in my house (replacing units that were far easier to use and read) when I had to have an ac replaced. One out of 3 dead out of the box. Second one nearly dead, doing some kind of reset/reboot every time you touched it, and then completely dead within 12 hours. So, a 33% fully functioning rate from the starting line is very disturbing.

Worked Great for 8 Months

Bought this 8 months ago. Worked great with no problems, then all of a sudden the wifi will not stay connected. I get nuisance emails from Honeywell telling me that it's not connected. Will not connect using Honeywell app when it used to work great. Called Honeywell (and after being on hold for an hour) and they were, of course, no use at all - claimed it was my wifi that was "bad"! Go figure.
Sorry folks, but I cannot recommend this T-stat. And Honeywell support is useless.

I had this installed about a year ago. It worked great until I got this error message about a month ago saying I need to install my thermostat. I went to the web site as instructed and all I can say is Good Luck with that. I am now on ignore still trying to figure out how to register this product for the 2nd time. The web site said to pick your product, I did and nothing happens. The WiFi is why I chose this product and now it will not connect to the internet because it says it is not registered.

HATE THIS THERMOSTAT

I absolute hate this thermostat. It was expensive, won’t hold an internet connection, will not update from the website, sends me email constantly about it’s inability to maintain a connection, and to top it off, I bought 2 of the frickin things. Looking to replace.

Hot mess

We did all the right things, The most respected HVAC company in the area installed this device. And this thermostat is still garbage.
It ignores the program we set and we wake up to heat cranking in the middle of the night. It disconnected to WiFi and will not reconnect. The problem is not the strength of our WiFi, every other WiFi device in the home works, even ones way further away from the router than the thermostat is.
We did not choose this thermostat, it was chosen & installed by the HVAC company. Hot mess.

Hi, thanks for reaching out! Your thermostat is using our adaptive intelligent recovery function, which can be disabled. Simply follow these steps on your thermostat:

1.Press the ""Menu"" button.
2.Select ""Preferences""
3.Select ""Adaptive recovery""
4.Select ""On"" or ""Off
5.Press ""Done"" to exit and save changes.
