Drops wi-fi connection

Came with our new house about a month ago. Works ok but has lost wi-fi connection 3 times in that length of time when no other wi-fi device had a problem. Only way I have found to get it to reconnect is to reboot my router which is not acceptable when I leave for months at a time! I have a NEST at another house which has had no problems in 4 years!

Hi jnotcho, this is not what you should expect. Please make sure that you are using a 2.4 GHz only network to connect the thermostat. Our Support Center link at the top of the page has all the ways you can get in contact with us to discuss where the issue may be.

have to register after every power interruption

Thermostat works fine until there is a power interruption, then have to call and register it again and again and again.

Hi, you should be able to perform a power cycle on the thermostat to recover wifi connection by detaching the faceplate for 30 seconds.

Awful Experience

DO NOT GET THIS PRODUCT! Very outdated and technical support is extremely lacking. Just purchased it brand new and had a professional install it. Have been on the phone for HOURS since installation last week with Honeywell/Resideo and my internet service provider with no resolution yet. Big mistake in purchasing this product.

Hi TH35, this is not what you should expect. Please make sure that you have a 2.4 GHz only network available and that the name and password of your Wi-Fi have alphanumeric characters. WIFI issues

I have had this for almost 2 years. Have never been able to connect to the app. It has a strong wifi signal however it keeps telling me I have to register the device. I have registered it! When I go to register it it says already registered.I am done with this just dissapointed the price we paid for it. Also the house temp drops 2 degrees before the furnace kicks on making it cold in the house.

Very few issues

I bought a townhouse with this already installed...transferring everything to me was no problem. I have issues only when I lose the internet other than that it has been a good thermostat that I can control from anywhere as long as there is internet connectivity.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I love that the app is easy to use. I can set thermostat from my phone or change temperature before I come home. I never touch the wall unit.

Screen went blank in 7 months

This product needs to be discontinued. Mine went out in 7 months. I heard this is a common problem. It was replaced with a Honeywell T10 that is a much better unit. Do not purchase this defective unit.
