Horrible Thermostat
on June 25, 2025
Posted by: Thomas007
Got this thermostat 4 months ago when we got a new furnace....now dead! Seemed to be working well this morning. Started feeling warm in the house in the early evening and went to check the thermostat...screen was blank. Touched it to try and see if it would wake up, and nothing. Went to check the fuse box to see if it had somehow tripped and nothing. Disconnected it from the bracket and reattached to see if it would reset it, but still nothing. In the middle of a major heat wave and our AC unit is non-functional due to this now dead thermostat.

Hi Thomas007, we are sorry to hear about this. A blank display could be caused by a voltage issue. Please reach out to your HVAC contractor to check voltage on the thermostat side. If the voltage is correct, they will be able to replace your thermostat, this model has 5 years of warranty through the installer. If the voltage is not correct, they should be able to fix it.

App only controls 1 unit
on July 8, 2025
Posted by: LAKittrell
Ive been able to control my thermostat for years remotely but as of June only one unit will work on the app. I've called, I've emailed and no one will help fix the issue. The alert says to register my thermostat. It is!! On the app it says lost connection but it is signed in. I just need to be able to control thermostat remotely on BOTH units.

Doesn’t reconnect to Wi-Fi on its own
on July 25, 2025

Thermostat does not reconnect to Wi-Fi on its own. It has to be manually reset by pulling it away from the wall to disconnect it from power and then pushing it back into place to reconnect to power source.. this totally defeats the purpose of having Wi-Fi enabled thermostats because if you’re not at home to do the manual reset and the Wi-Fi goes out the thermostats don’t work. If you are away on vacation this means you have no heat and frozen pipes unless you get someone to go into your house for you to do the manual reset. Ridiculous.

WIFI DOESN'T UPDATE
on August 12, 2025
Posted by: LLewis
Had Vision Pro 8000 Wifi for 2 years. I changed internet companies which I attempted to change my wifi. After 4 hours of trying to reset the thermostat, through the app and unit itself, after searching how to update it--- it never did. The unit found the WIFI address, my modem sits near the unit, my WIFI works on everything else but my thermostat. It should not be this hard to update/change WIFI

DO NOT BUT THIS UNIT!!!!

Worst ever. Every time the power goes off, the unit "crashes" and has to by manually reset (as in opening the unit) to bring it on line. Long waits to connect to internet. Long waits for it to connect to a weather service to get outside temp/humidity (this is absolutely useless). If the power goes off and you are not home, it WILL NOT RECOVER by itself.

Having trouble and only 3 years in.
on September 2, 2025

This thermostat seemed to be working great until it is not communicating with my system anymore and not holding the temperature I set. It seems to not be responding when I set it off or move to another function. I guess it went bad and worse is that it seems as if you can't even work on it. Worst part is I'm only in my house for 3 years and it is brand new. Hoping this is covered by the warranty. Hope someone contacts me.
