Excellent product and brand, we had a difficulties to set it up. And by the help of the honeywell tech support assisted us till the unit set up. Until now the unit is working very well.

Wifi not worth it. Can't use remote sensor too

Thermostat good enough in general. But the Wifi function simply allows you to control the thermostat from anywhere, which I surely don't need enough to give up my personal info, and reviews show it's unreliable. They don't tell you that you can't connect a remote sensor to it if you have heat strips which also require a remote connection. Took installer a long time to find that out. I would not have chosen this thermostat, but heat pump installer required it, as they know it [or so I thought].

Hi Bruce, if you wanted a remote sensor, you would simply have to replace the WiFi thermostat with a RedLink wireless thermostat. RedLink is the communication our devices use to communicate remotely. You will still be able to add the thermostat to your online account for remote control. Meh. Should be better

I got this as part of my new AC/furnace install. I couldn’t connect it to my main Wi-Fi since the system limits the symbols it allows in the password. They don’t allow some which have no security implications even for poor programmers. Also, the menu screen displays 1.5 rows even though there’sa bunch of open space on the screen.
So far, other than those issues of poor programming and design, the thermostat has been working fine.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Features are pretty lame, cannot even identify the thermostat model with the app. Biggest complaints:
1) Show "heat" is on message on app home page when AC is on.
2) For some strange reason, I cannot capture the screen like other apps. It's not a banking app.

Great Thermostat with Internet access and control.

I have 8 of the VisionPro 8000 in multiple buildings on the same network in operation and almost never have any issues with any of them. I installed them myself but I am an engineer and understand WiFi well. I have seen no issue with firmware. I stumbled on this review page while trying to see if I can add a dehumidifer to my system and control its operation. Looks like they will allow dehumidifier to turn on when system is on but not regulate dehumidifer based on humidity settings which is what I want. Only need this in one zone so may add an additional device.

I need some help. I have a Vision PRO Series with RedLINK thermostat, but I would like to have a WIFI thermostat to control by APP. Is there any option that you recommend? On my Honeywell thermostat, only 2 wires connect with a honeywell unit and it connects with my furnace. Is there any option for me to change my thermostat and put another compatible wifi using only these two wires?
