Terrible WiFi Thermostat- DON’T BUY IT

I have three of these thermostats, working fine then WiFi not connected, says invalid password. Hmmm, working then nothing. Re-entered the password for my network and still won’t connect, error “invalid password”. Tried it re-enter the password on the other thermostat and same issue, invalid password. Mind you the third thermostat is still working and is connected to the same network… I have read other reviews seems to be a consistent problem. This is not the 1st time this has happen. Maybe a firmware issue or bad WiFi module…DON’T BUY THIS THERMOSTAT

I read the negative reviews and it seems to me they are anomalies. As a HVAC contractor we have installed all generations of this thermostat. Hundreds of them with no issues. They should not sell these to homeowners. They are not plug and play thermostats. People wire them wrong, program them wrong, and have unrealistic expectations. There's nothing wrong with them at all. When they got rid of the green screen version we bought 140 of them because we loved them so much. We stock 50 of them and use them on most installs. Never any problems.

The thermostat is only a year old and the unit shut off and heated up where I thought that it might catch fire. This unit was professionally installed and I'm a retired Firefighter so the fire thing is not an overreaction.

Great Thermostat

It is very easy to use, the only problem was trying to get it registered. Finally figured it out.

Works okay…just okay

It is very tedious to use as it seems to constantly drop the WiFi connection although the signal in the house is strong. Also, your installer better not move or die as you are completely screwed because without the installer passcode, if anything goes wrong, you cannot use the device.

Great thermostat but trouble with internet connect

I installed this over 2 years ago never had trouble until now it won't hold the connection have reprogrammed several times with no results

Problem with WiFi

A few weeks ago Honeywell Home experienced problems! When they came back on one of my WiF Thermostat would not receive their signal. I reset the wiF on the Thermostat checked all of the settings all were the same as the other units in my home but this one would not connect with Honeywell Home!

cannot reset to schedule after a time period

We have 25 units in our facility and the othe more lucrative models will reset auto at a certain time set in the unit. The model TH8321WF does not have this feature it seems once it is over ridden the unit remains in that state until manually reset.
