Terrible- never again Bosch!!!

had issue with ice maker in first year, and the fridge shelf broke off twice in the first 2 years. not big enough for a family of 5, particularly with the shelves breaking off!!!!!
this was installed before we bought our house and I can safely say I will never buy bosch appliances again

Poor Quality..High price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this for 3 years. It started making a terrible noise in 4 months of purchase. I had a certified repair person come out 5 times (who was great but not related to Bosch) He researched and figured out that the problem was a fan vibration that was defective even with the replacement he already tried. He ended up getting a part oversees directly from Bosch. It worked. The next problem is the door shelf which hold milk has broken 4 times. Bosch paid for the first replacement but not the next ones. Terrible plastic quality on the door shelf. Lastly, occassionally the ice maker is empty. I figured out this occurs if a single ice cube somehow falls out of the holder. I don't know how this happens because we never remove the tray, unless their is no ice. Ridiculous. Looks nice but not worth the price.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Awful-buyer beware!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had this refrigerator five and a half years. Within the first two months we had to make our first service call. We had at least two other service calls within the first two years. We are now 5 1/2 years into this. Of the local repair companies who are certified Bosch refrigerator technicians, either the technicians refuse to work on any Bosch refrigerators or the one who attempted to fix the refrigerator won't even bill us for the labor and parts already put into the issues or even consider another service call (it still sounds horrific, like we are on the cusp of a rocket launch, and it freezes some of the food in the refrigerator side). I'm far from having a technical mind, and I'm certainly not a NASA rocket scientist, but neither of us would be surprised if this thing shot straight out of the roof of our house at any given time. Seriously, we have concerns about leaving our dog home alone, for fear the refrigerator could be a fire hazard. We have five days left until our new, non-Bosch refrigerator arrives and I could not be happier. I truly wish we could take a chance on Bosch again, because we wanted to keep the same brand throughout our kitchen. The timing of Bosch's request for this review is eerily coincidental, and we sincerely hope that Bosch designs a better product for their own reputation's sake. We absolutely love our Bosch dishwasher, but we will never take another chance on a Bosch refrigerator, it's not even worth one star on this rating scale.

Great Looking Fridge

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I feel the fit and finish of the fridge is very nice. Plus the lighting and sturdiness of the unit. I cannot speak to function over time but I know Bosch is a solid name. I am a little disappointed in some of the engineering however. The water dispensing button requires a very firm steady push or the water pump turns on and off quickly. Also the dispensing unit "tray" at the bottom of the dispenser does not come out to be emptied. Rather you need to use a sponge several times to empty it of water should it get filled up.
