I bought this watch because the product said it had the best heart rate monitor and I have AFIB so this was important... When I work out and use different exercise modes I get varied results. In stationary bike mode the heart rate seems to be fairly accurate, but in treadmill or weight machine mode it seems to double the heart rate. Today I was on the treadmill and the machine has a heart rate monitor on it and showed my heart rate at 78 bpm which it what it was... but the watch showed my heart rate at 156 bpm. This happens all of the time when I use the weight machines also. I will set the mode to weight machines and even before I start exercising the heart rate will start to climb to 130 before I have even done anything and will then go up to 160 or so after I start exercising. Don't tell me I am wearing the watch band to loose, or too tight. This works just fine when I am riding the stationary bike and shows correct results, but change to weight machine or treadmill and it seems to double my reading. If I didn't know what my pulse was, I would worry that I had gone into AFIB. I was hopeful when my watch did a system update that this problem might be fixed, but so far it stays alarmingly inaccurate and I cannot depend on the BP ready to how what my heart is actually doing.

Greetings WildcatLover, Thanks for reaching out to share your feedback with us regarding your experience using the Samsung Galaxy Watch8. Your candor allows us to make improvements on our product line to better suit the needs of our customers. Samsung provides a 12-month warranty on your device for manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. If the heart rate tracking feature is not working properly on your watch, the watch band or strap may be too loose or the watch's software might need updating. However, a simple reboot may solve the problem. Please take a moment to review, "Step tracking and heart rate monitoring not working properly on Galaxy watch" to help resolve what you've described. For your convenience, I have included some additional resources down below for your review. Please keep in mind that the Galaxy Watch8 has been designed for screening purposes, not diagnosis. Smartwatches are not substitutes for medical-grade devices and should not be relied upon solely for diagnosing or monitoring Afib, especially if symptoms exist. Feel free to reach out to Samsung Support afterward if you have any questions or if you would like any further assistance. Thanks for choosing Samsung! - Debra

I love the Galaxy watch a lot I use it everyday but I find it challenging because the battery drains so quickly I have tried everything to do the durability is okay I dropped my watch accidentally on my concrete ramp in the lift to decent little dents in the titanium the watch band around the Buckle is ripped so it makes it challenging to put on and the watch bands are just so expensive the ergonomics are pretty good I just don't like how I don't get notifications like I should the interface is okay I just really feel like it's pointless to have the screen raised like it is because I crack my screen protector every time I put it on it doesn't even last a week because of the race screen
It's an okay watch. I purchased it to stay within the Samsung ecosystem and was hoping for smooth integration with my phone. Everything works fine: nice gesture controls, good screen color and brightness, and awesome features. However, the biggest problem is battery life. I am averaging a day and a half, and this is with some features turned off. I assumed battery life would have improved over previous generations, but it's actually worse. I have had other smartwatches with similar feature sets that could last nearly two weeks. Disappointing battery life for a modern device.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Main reason I bought this watch was to be able to use the health feature to measure my blood pressure which isn't enabled in the United States so it's worthless to me. Thanks for charging me for sensors I can't use. Worthless product if it doesn't have functions you advertise.

Hi there Scott, Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts with us about your experience using the Samsung Galaxy Watch8. Your feedback allows us to continue to strive in providing the best products with superior functionality on the market to our customers. We understand how frustrating it may be to purchase a device, and it does not offer all of the features you were expecting. As you know, the Galaxy Watch8 does not offer blood pressure tracking at this time in the U.S. due to FDA regulations. However, your device is packed with Galaxy AI features which you may just fall in love with. The Galaxy Watch 8 brings Galaxy AI features to your wrist, including the Google Gemini assistant for voice commands, enhanced personalized coaching, advanced health tracking like Vascular Load and Antioxidant Index, and an AI-powered Energy Score, all within the new One UI 8 Watch, making fitness, health, and daily tasks more intuitive and customized. For your convenience, I have included a few resources that you can review at your leisure. If you would like further assistance afterward, do not hesitate to reach out to Samsung Support. Thank you for being a valued Samsung customer. - Debra
