BATTERY IS NOT WORTH THE OVER $400.00 I SPENT

I'M DOING THIS REVIEW IN CAPS TOO HOPEFULLY PREVENT OTHERS FROM BUYING ANN OVER PRICED WATCH ONLY TO GET A WATCH 8 BATTERY TO NOT LAST LONG.
Extremely Disappointed With Galaxy Watch8 Battery Life
I have owned my Samsung Galaxy Watch8 for about one year, which has given me plenty of time to use it regularly and give it a more than fair evaluation. Unfortunately, my experience with the battery life has been extremely disappointing.
I purchased this watch for over $400, and based on my personal experience, I do not believe the battery performance comes close to what I would expect from a smartwatch in this price range.
I primarily use the watch while working. One of my main uses is simply running a timer so that I can keep track of required checks throughout my shift. As I am writing this review, my watch is already down to 67% battery after less than eight hours of use.
I have even taken the watch to my cellular provider for help reducing battery consumption. At their recommendation, an AI-related feature used for asking questions was disabled because I was advised that it could contribute to battery drain. I have therefore had to give up functionality that I paid for simply to try to conserve enough battery to make it through my work period.
That is what frustrates me most. I should not have to substantially limit the features of a smartwatch costing more than $400 just to conserve its battery.
After approximately a year of regular use, I believe I have given this watch more than enough time for a fair evaluation. My experience with the Galaxy Watch8 battery life has been terrible, terrible, terrible. For what I paid, I expected considerably better.
This review reflects my own experience with my particular Galaxy Watch8 and my personal opinion of its value and battery performance. Based on that experience, I would not purchase this watch again, and I cannot recommend it to someone who needs dependable battery life throughout a work shift.

Functionality is good. The coating not so much

I've only had this watch since Oct3, 2025. I wear it daily to track workouts (swim, walk, bike) and at night to track sleep.
I noticed the silver coating on the underside of the watch is starting to peel off. I called Samsung since it's still under warranty. They tried telling me it's not a. Mfg defect and it's just probably acid in my skin.
This is my 4th samsung watch. I get a new one every 2yrs.. I've used them consistently for the same activities. This is the 1st one that does this, and it's my skins fault?!? Did my skin all of a sudden take on some new attribute that I'm unaware of?!?
The agent actually told me that I should get a medical checkup to see if there's something wrong with me. Not only is that offensive, it's just wrong. I barely sweat, I'm healthy, and I'm very ocd about my electronics. There are zero scratches, chips, or damage on this watch, other than the part that only touches my skin, yet they're saying this is my fault.

Upgraded from the Watch4. The Watch8 is alright but the battery constantly dies and always disconnects from my phone. The gestures and wrist vibrations do not work properly when I have notifications. My battery life lasts about half a day.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Galaxy watch 8 is the ULTIMATE disappointment. I really really wish I would have kept my 5. This thing is the biggest disaster I've ever owned from Samsung. The battery needs charging every day whether certain functions are disabled or not. Connectivity to my phone (26Ultra) is trash as well. I am as loyal to them as the "fruit family" is loyal to their brand is but this watch is saddening & sickening. Samsung; somebody, anybody, PLEASE do better or send back my Galaxy Watch 5 😞😩😢😭😭😭
