I’m usually a big fan of all Zagg products but this one was disappointing. I found it difficult to bend the hinge - was concerned I would break it. When we went to close it, the top piece are off - it would not stay in one piece to protect the iPad. Sadly, I returned it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very well built. I’m on my 2nd ruggedbook after finally wearing out one of the hinges on my first one; no doubt from repeated drops that no doubt save my iPad, which was the intent of the purchase

Unfortunately, the hinge is not very durable. This current hinge is better than the first version. I even took extra care when opening and closing the rugged book. However, after three or four years, the hinge started getting stiff to open and close and then finally failed entirely.

So far it’s been an awesome product! Exactly what I was looking for. Very robust case, and the screen pivot is very firm. My only critique is that the case doesn’t quite stay seated in the corner where the power and volume buttons are. I feel if the groove was 0.5-1mm deeper it would stay in place much better.

This Rugged Book is the greatest cover I have ever had. The keyboard connects seamlessly with my iPad! Knowing that if I drop it accidentally it will be safe is a great reassurance! Thank you for such a great product!
