In a former version (sized for 10.5), the pen holder was on the keyboard. On this version (sized for 11) it is on the top of the screen. Its present location is inconvenient and gets in the way. When reaching into my briefcase for the iPad, it is too easy to flip the pen out of the holder and (in my case) into oblivion.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The Rugged Book holds up well in the field. It is well-built and works well for our application. The only drawback is that the case tends to break where it connects to the keyboard after about a year of use. I wish there were more lugs where the case meets the keyboard to prevent this from happening, or that the hinge tension was reduced.

This is my second rugged book for iPad. Both were very sturdy and did the job. Keyboard works well. The downside is that it is heavier than the iPad itself. but I'd rather have the weight than a broken iPad.
