Rugged book pros and cons

Pros - substantial protection, great keyboard and tactile feel, easy to install IPad, very easy to remove IPad in its protective case from the Keyboard at the hinge
Cons - stiff hinge when changing angle. I’ve only had it for a few days and don’t often close the case, so this may change. Heavy case, but for me this isn’t an issue because I don’t currently travel with it.

This rugged book is sturdy. It is little heavy but I do not mind that. My issue is the hinge. It is way to stuff. The tablet pops off the finger while adjusting it. Other than that it is a good product. I returned it for that reason.

Great key board and protection for my iPad!

I will never use anything but Zagg to protect my iPad. Years ago, I was walking down a set of cement stairs, carrying way too much in my arms. My iPad slipped out of the pile and literally bounced down a flight of stairs! I know if it hadn’t been for it being in the Zagg case, it would have been broken. The case had a chip in one corned and the glass cover had to be replaced, but my iPad was perfectly fine. In fact, when I upgraded a month ago, I got money back on the trade in, because it was “in good condition”. My new iPad is now, of course, in a Zagg Rugged book!

This is the only keyboard case for me.

I've used Zagg keyboard cases for 10 years now. When I decided to upgrade my iPad (again), I first checked if Zagg made a Rugged Book for the model I was considering. When it wasn't available for the iPad mini 6, I ordered an iPad Air 4 (2021). The new keyboard buttons are a significant improvement and the drop protection is a must for me. I love everything about it and from past experience, I know Zagg stands behind their products and offers great customer support.
