Good, Rugged Keyboard and Case.

I purchased my iPad Air with the Apple Magic Keyboard. That keyboard is great for stationary use of the iPad (for sheer typing, it is better than the ZAGG and comes with a trackpad. However, I did not feel at all comfortable placing the iPad in a backpack with the Magic Keyboard; it did not protect the sides and the Apple Pencil was only secured by the charging magnet (it always came off during transport). With the ZAGG, the iPad is much more protected, and it secures the pencil to the case while also charging. The iPad can remain in the case, while either removed from the keyboard or reversed for use as a tablet. The Keyboard has a USB-C charging port, so an additional cord is not necessary (if only Apple would upgrade the iPhone to an USB-C…). It also holds a very long charge. If you travel a lot or frequently move your iPad, I highly recommend this keyboard.

The Only Case You’ll Ever Need- No REALLY

I had to get a new iPad, mine was obsolete. I had a Belkin keypad case on my old iPad Air. So, I looked for a new Belkin keyboard case, only to find Belkin isn’t making them anymore, for which I am sooo happy. If they had I never would have found my Zagg Rugged Book. It took we 3 weeks of researching and watching reviews to find the Zagg Rugged Book. I can see why Belkin is no longer making the keyboard cases. They couldn’t keep up to the quality of Zagg’s products. Now, that I’ve used my Zagg keyboard case, I wonder why did I ever accepted the inferior Belkin keypad case? The Zagg case material is very sturdy, it’s solid. I love the rubbery material around the edges of the keyboard and the screen, this will protect me from bumps and bangs. The magnet attaching the screen to the keyboard is very strong. I was really concerned it wouldn’t hold. I can hold on tp the screen and shake it and it doesn’t come off. I LOVE my Zagg Rugged Book. I finally found the only case I’ll ever need. Thank you Zagg.

You get what you pay for. This might be a little pricey but worth every penny, as is everything Zagg sells.

Rugged book ipad 11 is great

It is very sturdy and it stays open where I want it to. It was easy to set up. It is more rugged than I needed. Keyboard works well. It was hard to get the iPad in even with directions. The day it came was really cold so I had to warm it up so not so stiff.

Poor design

I was hoping to be able to utilize this iPad case/keyboard, unfortunately the “hinge” on the keyboard was so tight that you couldn’t “fold” the iPad down over the keyboard without the iPad popping out of the hinge. I had to force the book to close by folding the hinge itself. This became too cumbersome and had to return the item because it was defective. Sadly I had to also pay shipping cost.

The cover for the rugged

The cover for the rugged book does not close smoothly. It separates on closing and the track that holds the iPad does not close easily. I need to force it closed to get them attached together. This is my 5th zagg cover and disappointed with this product.

Extremely durable. Keyboard works great and is so much better than the one provided on the screen. Only negative is the overall weight when installed on the iPad.
