Great machine

Overall this is a fantastic multi-function device. Prints are slow, but of fantastic quality (incl duplex). Copying is a breeze. For some reason the software/driver install was problematic on my Mac, so it took several installs for it to suddenly work. The software included isn't bad, however, the scan quality is excellent. My only real compliant is that the ink cartridges are near impossible to find right now; I'm guessing because it's so new, but they can be hard to find.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Wonderful Printer

This Canon PIXMA MG5220 is a wonderful printer. It's not as noisy as other printers I've had. In fact it's pretty quiet. Prints fast and clear on the standard speed and if you forget to open the Paper Output Tray, no problem, it opens automatically when printing or copying starts. It also has a second paper tray at the rear of the printer to put photo paper so you don't have to switch paper types. There's also a built in duplexer that turns the paper over if you want to print on both sides of the paper. There are 5 seperate ink cartridges, so if you run out of ink you can buy the color you need instead of wasting your money buying one Tri-color cartridge that may still have 2 colors left remaining in the cartridge. Looking for a great printer, look no further, Canon is the one to check out, after all, they have been making copy machines for a long long time, so I'm sure that they knew what they were doing when they built this Wonderful Printer.
Pros: mechanically built well

So Easy To Setup

I'm a grandmother, fairly computer savvy, but have not really kept up with the technology since wireless came along. My son set up my laptop and wireless DSL, so my knowledge is still pretty limited. It took me about an hour to set up this printer and get it working on the wireless network on both my laptop and my desktop computers. I've tested scanning, copying and printing and they all worked and looked great. This replaces an old 4-in-1 of another brand. Wow, it is so much smaller and quieter! Love, love, love it!!
Pros: Easy Setup, fast print speed, easy to use

Actually Fun!

The installation of this printer was a pleasure. Both the hardware and software are extremely user friendly! I should mention that the user in this case is a 68-yr. old widow who is a technophobic!! I want to complement the company on the brilliant lay out of the installation manual.
I am so impressed by all the features available on this printer, and the ease with which they can be accessed. Kudos to Canon!!!!, and thank-you very much.

Wonderful Printer

I love my new Cannon PIXMA MG5220! It was easy to set up the printer and connect it to my modem. Now I can use my laptop anywhere in the house. If I'm in the den with my lap top, I can send something from there to my printer - I don't have to get up, go to my desktop, pull the article up, and print it from my desktop!
I'm one of those "elderly" people and if I can set this up - anyone can!!
I copied a color page and the copy was better than the original which was printed on my old printer.
If you are looking for a wireless printer, I would say get a Cannon PIXMA MG5220
Pros: easy set up, wonderful prints
Cons: no cons!

Easy Set Up for Wireless

I recieved this MG5220 for Christmas to replace my old reliable Cannon i550, which is still working fine and will go to another family member. I like the combination with the scan/copy feature so I can get rid of my old flat bed scanner and save some space.
I was a little nervous about setting up the WiFi end of things. I usually have bad luck and have to call my son to bail me out. But this was a BREEZE! The instructions are clear and concise. I had it up and running in no time, even tho we have a very secure set up.
The unit is larger than my old i series, but because it's replacing the scanner too, it's worth it's footprint.
Pros: reliable, Easy Setup, fast print speed, easy to use

Great Printer

I have used many printers in the past ten years, my main use is addressing envelopes, I am amazed at the accuracy and speed this printer performs, I am truly impressed with this model! I would highly recomend it.

Over all this is a good machine, the only problem I have with it is the ink. To small cartage. I only got 75 pic before I had to buy new ink.
Pros: reliable, Compact Design, Easy Setup, durable, Lightweight/Portable, Sharp Tones & Colors, easy to use
Cons: Slow Print Speed, High Ink Consumption
