Awesome Product!!!

First off... this is an amazing buy for the options! Second, set-up is easy and relatively fast for a WiFi multifunction system. It's easy to use and is very intuitive. I bought this unit mainly for the scanning feature for when I work from home. The fact that it does everything through WiFi makes it worth every penny! I also own the Canon IP100 portable prinnter and that's why I chose this unit over others. I'm completely satisfied!!!

The MG5220 is an excellent printer. I wasn't really sure what to expect since it was reasonably priced and this was my first Canon printer. It was so easy to setup and equally easy to use. The first picture I printed had me sold on this printer, the quality was unbelievable and I found myself out of photo paper in only a few minutes. My advice, buy lots of photo paper when you buy this printer, because if you're like me, you're going to love watching your pictures come to life! The wireless aspect is a big plus for us, no cables, no hassle!
Pros: reliable, Compact Design, Easy Setup, durable, Low Ink Consumption, Lightweight/Portable, Sharp Tones & Colors, fast print speed, easy to use

Went Beyond Expectations

I actually purchased the Pixma MG5220 partially due to reading other reviews. Set up WAS a breeze! My main reason, however, was to digitise boxes of old photographs I'd taken years ago with a 35mm film camera. When I saw the results: the ease of using it, quality of the prints, both color and black and white, I wasn't pleased I was overjoyed!! Being able to make new folders for their destination as I scanned was a real plus too. All in all, I couldn't be happier. Show me a printer that dosen't use more ink than you think it should!
Pros: reliable, Easy Setup, Lightweight/Portable, Sharp Tones & Colors, fast print speed, easy to use, great photo reproduction

My last Canon printer finally gave up with a printhead wiper container was FULL. You cannot empty this thing, only take it in to be replaced and that cost as much as a new printer. (Can you say, "Planned obsolesence)" Purchased the new MG5220 with great expectations, but... very disappointed in the ink containers. I stayed with Canon because I like the seperate ink tanks, but little did I know that they had reduced the size of them by about 35% and they increased the price if them too over the older BCI tanks. Also these newer tanks are no longer clear, but now black so you can no longer see through them to tell how much ink you actually have left. The older BCI tanks lasted forever, but these new ones seem to runout almost weekly. The all in one scanner works fine, but it's not a trade off for ink refills. But what choice do you hav eleft, but to purchase one of their "newer" MG models and LIVE WITH IT! Good luck and hope you have lots of cash on hand if you print anything at all.
Cons: high consumption ink., low capacity ink containers.

I am very happy with the wireless capabilities of this printer, it's the reason I chose this one...I do however wish that it had fax capabilities...I've had other canon products & printers, & the previous owned one was an all in one printer that did everything, print, fax, copy, & scan....this one as good that it is, does not fax!
Also, I never use the color settings, however in a few months the machine is telling me that the color cartridges are empty....they could not be, I'VE NOT USED ANY COLOR...yet I still have to purchase more cartridges!! This is very disheartenly unacceptible to me
Pros: Compact Design, Easy Setup, durable, Lightweight/Portable, fast print speed, easy to use
Cons: High Ink Consumption

Just purchased this printer a few weeks ago and so far I'm rather impressed. Don't know what the future brings or what hassles will occur once I start replacing ink cartridges but right now I am on a honeymoon. I do know however that this is always an expensive proposition once you start buying.
At this point, the printer was very easy to setup using the install software that came with the printer on various Windows 7 and XP systems. WiFi setup was fairly simple once I got use to the soft keys on the printer. Scanning quality has been great and the capture software allows you to save as a pdf and combine multiple pages into one file. This is a great time saver. The print quality at various sizes appears to me to be fantastic even though I am not a photo pro. I really enjoy being able to access this printer from anywhere in my house via the WiFi network. I can also download photo's from my Android directly to this printer via their free app. I hope I still feel this way about this printer in a few months but right now this is a great printer for the price. Not really sure why others are having issue. How can you go wrong at this price??
