The startup directions were easy to follow, including accessing our wireless network. Printing and copying features have worked well. However, the scanning to computer feature is not intuitive and so far has not been useful. In general, for the price point, I would recommend this printer as an average to above average and worth considering for purchase.
Pros: Easy Setup, low operating noise
Cons: scan to computer
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great with a PC

I bought this when traveling to be able to work. Everything worked great with my laptop. It was easy to set up and I had no problems figuring out how to use the scanner and I didn't try to find an instruction manual. It printed photos well also. Now that I am home though, I am trying to set it up with my Mac and second try, it is still not working. I bought a cheap competitors 3 in one after buying an I Pad and it set up very easy and worked with both the I pad and laptop. If I can get this working with my Mac I will be much happier, even though it will not work with my I Pad. Had I known I was going to make that purchase, I would have bought. different model of printer.
Pros: works great with windows
Cons: hard to set up with a mac so far

After many years of using another major brand of printer I tried this Canon MG5220. I works OK as a text printer, but it fails miserably as a photo quoality printer. The colors are way off, no amount of tweaking in Photoshop can bring them anywhere close to acceptable. Printing a purge print pattern looks OK, but when you try a picture of any sort, the only word to describe it is HORRIBLE.
The scanning feature does appear to work, although very slowly.
I have been using a Canon Camera since they came out with the Elan IIE, and am now on my second Canon DSLR. I really had hoped that the printer would provide the same degree of satisfaction as their cameras.
Pros: wireless very easy to set up
Cons: horrible print quality
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've only used canon printers but this one seems harder to use when you want to scan. I don't want the wifi feature and it seems most printer have this. I would look for a different printer. Would return if time allowed. Wanted a all in one and this isn't for me.
Pros: pretty, shiney
Cons: not a quite printer, not good print outs of pictures
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have been struggling to find a printer for my MAC that will work all the time. I read some reviews about Canon so I bought the MG5220. The software loaded correctly the first time. I was able to use the desktop function to scan which I could not do with a previous brand. The scanning was also very quiet. The printing is so easy as the printer with the setup already has the Office Applications with this as the default. The footprint of the printer is very good. I have not tried to fax yet but for my main purpose of printing and scanning this printer has been excellent. I have not found anything I dislike about the printer and I have had the printer for three weeks.
Pros: Compact Design, Easy Setup, fast print speed, easy to use

We have had this printer for a couple of months, although we dont use it alot, so far we love it. Love the idea we can print from laptops ipods etc from where ever in the house. Of course we replaced an older model printer so the new technology is great! It was a great price so we are happy so far. I do recommend it to others also.
