Problems with grilled cheese.
I bought this mainly for grilled cheese sandwiches. No matter what temperature setting or cheese I choose, the cheese melts out of the sandwich before the bread gets crispy and toasty brown.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I got it for my husband for Christmas and we have used it for several different recipes over the last month. Quesadillas, paninis, burgers, and chicken thighs that came out better than anything we've put in the oven. The heat from both sides on the press cooks food quickly and evenly, while keeping in the natural flavors and juices. We have not used it as a griddle yet but I'm sure it will work just as great for that. The plates remove easily for cleaning, too. I was a bit hesitant to order because the price is a bit high but it has been completely worth it. We love it!

I received The Griddler from Santa this year and so far it is living up to all of the promises of the commercial that I saw! I especially love being able to put the grills in the dishwasher. Also, being able to cook a whole meal in under 20 minutes is a nice bonus!

I wanted to replace my George Forman Grill, and I was looking for something easier to clean. I saw this Griddler and noted that the Grates are not only reversable, from grill to griddle, but they are also Dish Washer safe! The unit is much lighter than the Foreman, and just blows it away. I can't wait until I get the Waffle plates too!!!
