I purchased this 3 months ago and cook on it weekly. The #1 thing I cook on this is bacon which identifies its major flaw. The plates aren’t tilted towards the drain which keeps food sitting in grease. I now prop the front two legs up on plastic lids to create the tilt needed to drain fat. But occasionally a mess is made on my counter which I didn’t have with my old foreman.
To make sandwiches you have to have a hearty bread or it smashes it, so that is another thing to keep in mind.
What I LOVE: frozen meatballs cook like a dream, laying flat and making grilled cheese is awesome, making an omelet is easy and fun! Over all, I love this little machine!

Uneven heat. I wanted to love it but after 1 month the top grill does not heat evenly compared to the bottom. I also bought the waffle plates. They are gooey on the top & black on the bottom. Other foods need to be flipped to cook evenly. Not happy with this appliance’s performance. Expected better quality from Cuisinart.

Product didn't work properly. It didn't matter if I used the Griddle or the grill, the knobs were not working and the light on each knob would go off and on no matter where the setting was. I have returned it for a replacement, not really expecting anything better, but we'll see. I am familiar with potentiometers since I am educated in industrial electronics. The quality of these potentiometers are very very cheap.
