I had been thinking about getting a Griddler for some time, looking at them in stores but always holding out: I didn't want yet another large item I wasn't going to use cluttering up my kitchen cabinet. I should have "caved" years ago --- the Cuisinart Griddler is WONDEDRFUL!! I use it for French toast, bacon and eggs, and other breakfast things; forte rerrific grilled or Panini sandwiches at lunch; or to grill a steak at dinner. It's quick, easy. and the more you use it, the more you like it. SOfar, I have not cleaned the plates in the dishwasher ---- it's so easy to pop them out and clean them under the faucet, why bother? It's also easy todry them, pop them right back, then put the machine in the cabinet. It does NOT take up much space ---- but keep it somewhere convenient, since you should be using it a lot. I have what I believe is a ""standard" size ---- not too big. (There's enough room to fit four small slices of French toast on each side.)

Received griddler for Christmas, my batter didn't stay circular, because it does not have a leveling feature. Bad design. So, I had to use cardboard to prop it up level. A hassle. Thinking of returning it, but it was a present. I don't have receipt.

I've had my griddler for 3 weeks and enjoy how well it cooks meat as well as how fast it's ready and 5 minutes to clean the griddle plates up. How nice!

Got this as a Christmas gift and really enjoy it! Makes a great panini. The grill does chicken and burgers in a few minutes and they turn out great. I used the griddle for sausage and eggs, but it seemed the plates were a bit small. May have to use it a few more times.
