On a Saturday shopping trip, I stumbled upon a display for the Cuisinart Griddler. I was intrigued by its versatility of being an indoor grill, an griddle and also a panini maker. In the store, I had an opportunity to get the know and to like the product, which in turn led me to purchase this item. The Griddler is very sturdy and made very well with stainless steel. Out of the box, it felt like it was worth the money that I spent. I took it home that afternoon, washed it and used it to make brunch for my son and I. I liked how I could switch between frying eggs and cooking bacon to switching the hot plates to using it as a panini breakfast sandwich maker. The results were phenomenal. The all-in-one capability made the appliance a must have for the kind of breakfast food that my son and I enjoy. I also used the Griddler to make grilled thin boneless skinless chicken breast and salmon which the indoor grill made perfectly since it was too hot to use the outdoor grill. The only thing that I had a tough time with was using the switch on the side to make it change from full griddle/grill to panini maker. For some reason it would get stuck or was a little tough to push, but maybe it was because it was a new product and need some wear and tear, which I will be doing a lot of!

Bought this to use in my studio for quick meals when working late. I am impressed. It is substantial and well engineered. Heats up quickly. And cleans up beautifully - love the cleaning comb that is included. It is small which is ideal for my situation, but keep that in mind if looking for a family sized grill/panini maker.
Intend to purchase another as a wedding gift.
