I bought this Griddler to replace another brand that burned out on me last year in my Northern home.It is much more versatile as the plates reverse from grill to griddle and they can be cleaned easily by hand or on the dishwasher.
When we returned South this winter the same older grill that we had there burned out so I again replaced it with the Griddler. We can’t bar-b-q where we are and this appliance grills steaks beautifully.
I highly recommend the Griddlerfor it’s versatility and ease of cleaning.

I bought this as a replacement for a different name brand grill. I am not please with it's performance as it seems to take twice as long to make anything that i made on the previous grill. It does not heat up evenly nor stay hot unless you turn the temperature way up. Additionally, I find the three controls on the front confusing and have to get the book out each time I want to use it. Needless to say this appliance stays in the cupboard more than it gets used. I will usually pull out the electric skillet instead.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Used this to make steaks, kabobs, shrimp and mussels. Nothing stuck. That being said, I wish it had a lock on the handle for easier carrying. Not enough counter top to keep it out all the time. I would also like to have a way for it to be locked open about 2 inches for reheating foods like pizza.

I used my Griddler for a few months making panini and pancakes but eventually returned it. The top plate was always substantially cooler than the bottom plate. The plates would lose a lot of heat when I put food on them and it would be far too long for them to get back up to temperature. During that re-heat period they would heat unevenly. And I had to dial it up considerably just for pancakes and sandwiches; I can't imagine those plates maintaining enough high heat consistently to grill meats though I admit I never tried it.

I have had this griddler a month. Couldn't ask for anything more. The waffles come out beautiful, freeze if you like. I have and pop them in the toaster. Perfect!!!! Bacon..no problem cooking. If you want the bacon real crispy put the lid down.

I love this little grill. It is versitile, a lot of cooking space! However, 2 issues, it needs a latch for governing the top lid, there is no way to hold it up away from food, also, the cooking plates seem to pop loose, not good when hot
