I wanted a waffle maker/grill with removable parts and this is perfect. An extra is that you have control of the heat. I love it for waffles, and to grilled sandwiches.

It took a little getting use to after using a full size griddle as it is slightly smaller but once that was figured out then things started cooking the way I wanted them too. Bacon, Sausage, even Eggs if need be. Cleanup is a snap with the removable plates, just put them in the dishwasher and usually they come nice and clean, sometimes there is some stubborn stuff that requires a little elbow grease but not often. The drawbacks are the grease catcher is small and will over flow if not watched, the upper plate is somewhat cooler than the lower plate, you notice this if you are searing a slice of bread, one side is darker than the other, due to this you need to turn things like sausage patties and if using thin sliced bacon they will also need flipped over. But overall it is a nice piece of equipment that I would miss if I didn't have it.

I use this griddle more than any small appliance in my kitchen. I love being able to cook with the different plates. Anything that can be cooked in a pan can be cooked on this griddle. I just switch the plates and cook fresh waffles. No more frozen waffles for us.

I have been looking for a waffle iron that would be easy to clean. I love the fact you can take off the trays to clean. I've used the pancake side and really like the way they cook. The only negative I have is there isn't a timer that says it's done cooking and open the griddle.
