I ordered this after hearing about making paninis and I am so happy with it! This is all you ever need. It will go flat to grill, it flips to a flat grill so you can fry eggs or other stuff! I also ordered a set to be able to make waffles, oh my, what a wonderful grill this is with all I can do with it! Amazing, just amazing ! One single machine on my counter that has so many uses! The grill plates can go in the dishwasher! What more could I want?Dena

Not a good griddle - it’s a panini grill

Received this for Christmas and not a fan. Maybe the panini grill is a better use for this thing, but I asked for a griddle and this is what was given. Surface area is split….cooking temps are inconsistent and the lip of the griddle is too shallow
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I selected this Griddler because it had simple, hopefully reliable, controls instead of an LCD screen with related smarts that is just one unnecessary feature waiting to fail prematurely. I also selected it because I could get compatible waffle plates. I was impressed by how quickly the Griddler came to temperature and especially how quickly it returned to temperature after one waffle was removed. The one disappointment was that the waffle cooks unevenly. The bottom is nicely browned and crisp while the top is paler and softer. This prevents me from giving it full marks.

It is definitely a hard to keep clean product. After a few months of having the product the enamel is wearing off the handle which does not make me happy. I use the waffle maker around three times a week and I always have to flip the waffles because the top plate does not cook as well as the bottom plate. The plates are dishwasher safe but still doesn't do a good job in cleaning them.. And my dishwasher is brand new

So far I like the Griddler. I've not used it as a griddle as it's just easier to use a pan on the stove. I've done scallops, they turned out very good. I've also fried burgers, that was magical. Pressing down for 10-20 seconds makes perfect burgers that don't turn into monster meatballs. I'll NEVER cook another burger in a regular pan. Everything cooks faster as it's being cooked on both sides at once. I love the fact that the parts are dishwasher safe. Only negative I can see is when you open the lid after cooking, some grease will drip down off the back side. I just put down a few paper towels before starting.

I bought this a month ago and have used it about 2 times a week. The reviews were better then some of its competitors so I decided to take a chance. It is sturdy, the grills fit well and are easy to get on and off. The cleanup is much better then my previous other brand grill. I’ve only used the griddle once and it worked well but I wouldn’t call it remarkable. I will try it again with something like pancakes. I didn’t give it 5 stars because I don’t believe I’ve had it long enough to rate that high. But for the time I’ve had it and what I’ve grilled I’m very pleased and glad I chose this brand.

I have been very pleased with the item and we have used it many times in the short time we've had it. We've made panini's, grilled cheese, quesadillas and hamburgers on it. I like the versatility of having the reversible cooking plates and their ease of clean up since they are detachable. I also purchased the optional waffle maker plates and have used those also. The only problem I've had was one of the bottoms you push to release the plate came out and we had to put it in a couple of times. It now seems to be in there properly and hasn't come back out. The only other drawback is that it is smaller than ideal for us as there is three, sometimes four, of us.
