I bought this to replace a similar product I've had for the past 15 years which stopped working. I bought a Cuisinart product because I trust the brand name. I received it last week and have used it several times already...to grill shrimp and vegetables, grill chicken and a hamburger, make a panini, and to make pancakes. Does the job well. Yummy and juicy food. Like very much the drip tray on the bottom to catch the juices. My other product did not have the drip tray which resulted in a lot of clean up. I like the fact that the Cuisinart has just one insert for cooking - one side for grilling, the other side flat for making pancakes. My other product had two separate inserts, and required more room for storing. The only thing I think was better on my other machine is that it was easier to insert the cooking surface. I could do it with one hand. This requires a bit more maneuvering before it fits into the slots. Not terrible but could be a little easier. Other than that, this is a really useful and versatile kitchen appliance and can be used so many different ways. I would definitely recommend this product and am hopeful it will live up to the Cuisinart name for reliability.

Removeable plates are easy to clean. Great heat. Handle doesn't fold thin so it sticks out of our pantry and has to be on the counter
