A bit expensive as compared with the no-name products but works perfectly. We've seared burgers, pressed panini sammies, fried eggs, made grilled cheese sammies, made french toast with no issues. Everything works perfectly.
Other items such as this are cheaper but Cuisinart seems the quality product among the lesser items.

Upgraded my old Cuisinart grill to this new one, and had to adjust to temperature differences. Foods that cooked on medium on the old grill, now need to be cooked on high. Otherwise, no problems! The removable grills that can washed in the dishwasher are a big plus!

I have used this 3 or 4 times now and love it. We are vegetarian so I can't speak to how it would do for meat. I have made Quesada's, grilled large mushroom caps, made a pressed sandwich. Very pleased. It is just the two of us so the size is fine. I don't know how good this would be for a large family.
