nonstick cooking plates are certainly NOT what I have become accustomed to. Actually quite difficult to get totally clean and free of cooking debris

I chose the Griddler as it was of compact size to sit on my countertop without getting in the way, but most importantly, it had several settings for temperature and functionality (Griddle or Grill, 200-450F, and two types of surfaces on the plates). Also, the Griddler has a a easy to access drip tray which covers both top plate dripping when opened as well as the bottom plate drippings. This is a very well made countertop grill. I am very pleased with it.
