I bought this product for its versatility with a particular interest in the waffle plates. To date I’ve only used it for waffles. I love it, but I do double the recommended 3 minute cooking time as I like my waffles crispy on the outside. Although I haven’t tried the other plates I’m sure they will perform just as well.

Convenient and quite handy. Clean up for most items is relatively easy. High fat items with a lot of grease tend to overwhelm the drip tray and spill over. Wish there was a timer🤔. Wish there was a way to have heat on just the bottom 🤔 grill. Manual doesn't explain the difference between the different controls, grill or griddle? What does what?
I would recommend this to a friend!

This was a replacement for a defective unit, which would heat up once, then cool off to nothing. The new one has worked three times and then failed once. Worked once after that. Haven't tried it again. It acts just like the defective unit. I've probably gone through ten of these over a 20 year period. I love the idea and uses, but they are not well built. I'd do something else.

I was excited about the possibilities this appliance offered, and immediately tried it with pancakes. They did not cook. After 15 minutes, the blobs of batter on the "bottom" half had dried out enough to turn, but failed to brown. Those on the "top" half were still too liquid. Because it was a Cuisinart, I gave it the benefit of doubt, thinking operator error. Besides, we bought this primarily to make grilled sandwiches. We love paninis, but found it merely satisfactory. The bottom half does a great job, but the top barely toasts the bread. Because of my failure with the pancakes, I had turned the heat up almost to the SEAR setting. The sandwiches were crispy enough, the cheese melted, and the meat was warm. I turned the pale side down to serve them. I'm willing to retry the pancakes on this higher heat before I give up on the Griddle setting.
