Beginner sewer and mostly for outdoor furniture covers and basic furniture upholstery. This was a nice upgrade from what I had been using. Fast, powerful enough. Great array of stitches and accessories for the work I do. Drop in bobbin threading is a little more work than it seems it should be - also automatic needle threaded is pretty useless. I have to put on glasses to see the hooks, so at that point I can just as easily thread the needle.

I purchased this machine because I am recovering cushions for back patio. The model was not on display at Joann but I bought anyway. I have some issues with ..... Please pass this on to all machine manufactures .... 1. there is "never" enough light ... none on the right side of the needle and the light that is there is NOT bright enough. 2. This is the first NEW machine I have purchased in years (70+) and it seems as though all the new machines have a very "low" clearance. 3. Which makes it difficult to position anything. The machine stitches well but I am disappointed.. My "OLD" machines have the clearance and you can extend the lift of the foot for heavier fabric but they could not handle the thick fabric I am sewing. That is the only reason I purchased.

I got this machine brand new and have never been able to get it to work right. I have taken it to the repair shop and even after having them fix it twice it still does not work. There is something off with the tension that renders it useless. Waste of money plus having to make expensive repairs that lead to nothing. If I could give it 0 stars, I would.
