Easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got a Singer Heavy Duty sewing machine wanting to learn to sew but not sure if I could. Followed instructions on how to get everything hooked up and threaded. Been practicing on scrap material. Everything works as it should.

Easy instructions

The inbox quick instruction guide was very helpful and easy to figure out. Absolutely love the auto needle feature. Bought two machines for daughters. I'm helping them figure it out as they haven't sewn since high school. The machine isn't any louder than my old Singer 9410. My only trouble is the dial stitches are small and difficult to read but once they are used to it, it shouldn't be a problem.

I’ll admit I’m a casual sewer, but can muddle through mist products. I upgraded from my 30+ year old singer stylist 834 and am questioning my decision. The new machine is much lighter weight than I am used to and clunky when sewing over heavier seams. The power pedal is WAY to light, unsturdy, and small and the whole power cord mechanism is too short. This has made comfortable sewing mechanics more difficult.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this machine! It sews through the thickest of fabrics with ease and then will effectively sew delicate fabric. I was sewing very think quilted material and added some decorative stitches without a problem. The tension was great. The add on table extension is a great help keeping your project flat while sewing and it is super easy to attach and unattach. Great product for the money.

Powerful Machine!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to use. Threading guide printed right on the machine. First project I worked on was quilt binding. Powerful motor gently sews through two layers of cotton quilting fabric as well as quickly going through four layers of cotton and batting. My next project was using canvas drop cloth to make window treatments. This machine was built for home decor. The machine easily handled the thickness of a folded canvas hem.

Broken!

Hello I bought the machine back in March 21. Was delighted with it as it sewed heavy materials like jeans and canvas with no problem. At least at the beginning then I couldn’t reposition the needle Thought it was me anyway I dont use it all the time Next sewing jobs lined up in November and disaster the bobbin was missing a beat which resulted in the needle catching and slipping. The bobbin setting had completely gone- the needle is coming down mid spin and catching on the arm- sorry dont know how else to explain it Anyway I cant use my machine Ive emailed the seller and have been referred to someone else and had no reply. Please can you advise me to what i should do? Sorry I cant find the photos Will have to take more!

Impressive!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love Singer Heavy Duty 6380 sewing machine! The extension table made my projects come together faster, and the stitching was perfect! This is a first for me as far as sewing and it was nice that it wasn't complicated and easy to understand. At first I was intimidated by all the different bells and whistles, but after watching a Youtube tutorial I got it down pretty quickly. Having 3 teenage girls that are always needing pant hems and buttons sewn on, this machine did the job like a piece of cake! Even the smallest projects came out at record time! Great little machine and I am very happy with the results.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great sewing machine!

But the project of repairing my husbands pajama pants went very smoothly thanks to this machine. It's lightweight enough that I dont need my husband to get it out for me haha. I'm no pro sewing person but this machine was definitely easy enough for me to figure out.
Like I said, getting my husbands pajama pants fixed was a cinch and even with threading the machine took a lot less time than if I did it by hand.
