tension issues

purchased new and thread tension has been horrible from the beginning. too loose either top and loops on bobbin side. sewing machines have been made for hundreds of years so not impressed with today's. taking it in today where I purchased to see it is woeth keeping or returning.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My husband bought me this machine for Christmas so I can be his personal alterations lady. So far, I’ve altered NOTHING! But I did make a purse. And a skirt. And I haven’t broken anything!

Just sewed 2 things

I sewed with this new machine for the first time the other night . Stitched a fleece baby blanket. Could not figure out the stitch length. Stitches were very tight. 2nd item was repair a tear by winter coat pocket. The stitching got so tangled underneath I had to remove the plate and it took scissors and ripper and time to get the jacket released from the needle hole of the plate. Not sure what to think of my new machine.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great machine

Just received my machine this past week and I can’t say enough about it. I like to sew cork and faux leather bags and my old machine struggled with the layers. This machine did not struggle at all. Can’t wait to make more bags. Thank you Singer for a great product.

this machine is basically the same as the HD4432, but with the extension table..I have both machines as I liked the 4432 so much, that I ordered the 6380 as well & use the extension on both machines...have been pleasantly surprised at how well these machines sew just about everything and are true workhorses....
I would recommend this to a friend!

I love this sewing machine..I have sewn heavy cotton
canvas to filmy silk. It just keeps sewing. It is a
great sewing machine, and has at least 10 stitches
and a button hole maker. The first thing I made was
a blanket-weight fleece. It has a heavy weight zipper,
collar and pockets. I am just amazed at the seam thicknesses
it sewed. Its A-Plus for me.. I highly recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I was first taught to sew it was on a Singer sewing machine. My grandmother was a master seamstress and taught me everything from cutting fabric for my doll clothes to sewing a prom dress. I kinda lost sight of the hobby when I had children but during the first year of covid I bought a Brother to break up my boredom. Our home burned last year so the Singer machine was the replacement to pick up where I left off. Let me just say save your money. I thought at first it was just me. The foot pedal only has 2 speeds greyhound fast or turtle slow and very cheaply made. My threads have to 2 feet long before it will catch right or you will end up in a mess. It’s very light weight so it scoots as you see. Wow is all I can say. My grandmother would be so sad.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love this sewing machine! It is perfect for any sewing application. I have used it to make lighter projects as well as heavy projects like quilting. It will see through light weight material like lace as well as heavy materials such as thick denim with no problem! I love all the preset stitches that meet all of your sewing needs. It is definitely heavy duty and very well built. The quality of this sewing machine is also amazing. I can tell it will last for years to come!
