Great ergonomics!

4th Android phone I've had to go along with 3 Blackberry's. The Continuum hands down has the best feel and is easy to hold and operate. The only knocks are Verizon bloatware that kills the battery fast and often. However, all Android phones are like that and the Continuum is the best one I have had.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Realistic color
Cons: battery life
I would recommend this to a friend!

This phone does everything you might want, but only until about 1 or 2 pm (EVERY DAY!). Even with charging the phone every night and not charging it until it is dead it still lasts only for 7-9 hours. Now I find that I need to keep it on the charging cradle most of the time. If I wanted a corded phone there are certainly cheaper options that this phone.
Also bought the cradle for the phone (by Samsung) and found that the external speaker will not work until Android 2.2 is available. According to Samsung.com that is not available yet.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations, bad bad battery, old android os

This is my second smartphone and I have to say that I am really liking it. My previous phone had less CPU power but was running Eclair aslo. The thing about your first smartphone is that... as you use it, you end up wanting more and more power. The Continuum delivers that next stage of power. This is not one of those new shiny phones that runs a dual core 1ghz processor, but it doesnt leave you wanting for speed for most tasks. It is pretty good all around. If i hadone complaint, it is the delayed and still unreleased support for Froyo 2.2. As we are seeing phones come out with 2.3 gingerbread, the Continuum is stuck... 2 versions behind in its operating system. If Support for Froyo 2.2 is released, the battery life will be extended more. The picture quality is the best i have seen on a phone so far... and the video is really smooth and clear.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Lightweight, camera and video are top notch, less bloatware than most phones., smooth scrolling, ticker display is very useful, noise reduction mic makes voice commands accurate
Cons: no froyo 2.2 support, battery makes it one day no more.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Dead Before Its Time

This is my first smartphone. It is a good phone, with some good features. The Ticker was a good selling feature for me, along with the lower price than the Fascinate. The phone has decent space for apps and operates fairly reliably. Battery life is short, less than 20 hours for basically standby use, but that is most likely no different than most smartphones.
I rated it in the midrange mostly because of the promise to upgrade it to 2.2, which appears to be dead in the water, now. This upgrade would have improved batter usage, given access to Flash, as well as more apps. Apps are being developed for 2.2 and later, so as time goes on, this phone will be more and more obsolete. If this update had gone out, as promised, the marks would have been higher.
Overall, it is a decent phone, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone because of the, now, lack of upgrade support. I would recommend a newer phone with 2.2 or 2.3 already installed.

why still sell a phone you no longer support?

I bought this phone one year ago when it was being promoted as one of the best new android phones.. 2.2 was coming very soon. So soon that accessories requiring 2.2 were being sold. No update ever came and performance has continually declined. Facebook can take minutes to process requests. Sometimes pictures do not load at all.
Do yourself a favor and buy a newer phone that already has 2.2 or 2.3 installed.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display
Cons: performance has steadily declined

I tried to tell the sales guy that I DID NOT WANT ANOTHER SAMSUNG. But he did his job and convinced me to buy not just 1 but 2 of these phones. Other than me having to take the battery out 3 or 4 times a day to restart my phone or the fact that I cant update it to a newer version of android to run all the apps I want its a pretty good phone. That is if all you need is a phone.

Great Christmas gift!

I am pleasantly surprised with this phone, I knew I wanted another Android phone but I don't have much experience with different brands. I find the phone very light weight, nice sleek form, great phone for my needs.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight, stylish
Cons: somewhat slow
