My Continuum

I bought my 1st Continuum and had it for about a month. It got very ill and I took it into my phone service provider. It could not be fixed so I got a second. After 4 days with the 2nd it got ill and had to be replaced. I am now on my 3rd. So far so good. I will say that I spent many hours on text chat with Samsung with the 2nd phone and they worked very hard to try and resolve my issues. I did spend many hours with my phone service providers both on the phone and online and everyone was helpful and tried very hard to fix the problems that I ran into. I had high hopes for this phone, from all the info I could read and other customers who owned the Continuum. As my 3rd Continuum is still new (less than 2 weeks) I am keeping my fingers crossed and hoping that I just happened to get the 2 out of what 50,000 that were produced that had problems. I do wish the case were made of heavier plastic. I still feel that I have to be very careful when putting it down or holding the phone. Other than that when they have worked, call clarity is super! Getting to know what settings I prefer for what took just moments. I do miss not having a missed call reminder, but then again, I could have it and not know it's there yet. Overall I am enjoying the phone.
ticker has shut off twice forcing reboot and the loss of all personal settings
Cons: programming glitches

In general, this phone works great. With moderate use of email and Twitter all day, I can get about 8 hours of use out of a batter before charging is required.
The display is excellent, it's very bright and crisp. Outside, you'll need to turn the display brightness up to the maximum setting to see the screen, but the good news is that you can read the screen outside.
The most interesting part of the phone, the Ticker display, doesn't always work. For apparently no reason, the display stops showing RSS and Twitter updates within 2 weeks of use. This has required me to reset the phone three times in a little more than a month in order to get this feature working again. It's quite annoying and hinders the functionality.
Otherwise, it's a great phone overall.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight
Cons: ticker display issues, older version of android
I would recommend this to a friend!

Display is overly colorful as i expected the anoled to be and great blacks.
The headphone jack is on the curved part of the phone so if your headphone jack is larger like on some nice over the ear headphones dont expect it to fit all the way in, you'll have to buy an adapter to listen to music...
It's preloaded with a lot of useless and non deletable apps which get's annoying really quick
Web browsing eats battery life as does displaying light colors
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Lightweight, good low light video recording
Cons: uses bing search only
I would recommend this to a friend!

General operational review.

Seems like a nice product even though the associated owner manual is severley lacking in definitive information. The keyboard is a but querky and takes practice to get used to. Switchinbg from the OMNIA II to this product has it's relative challenges. The Android 2.1 operating system is by far superiour to the previous Microsoft Windows. Waiting paitently for the latest upgrades to Android 2.3 or even later versions.
Phone has a good camera, fast processor, easy to learn controls. Needs hotkeys on side of phone. It has a tendency to freeze up for no apparent reason, and I keep it optimized. Also, the "Battery Charged" notice pops up when the battery is fully charged, as expected, BUT since the screen does not timeout when it is plugged in to the charger, the "Battery Charged" notification is burned into the screen now. So unless you are awake when you are charging it (not while you sleep, as I imagine most people do), I do not see how this is avoidable. Other than those two things, this phone is pretty awesome.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Realistic color, great camera
I would recommend this to a friend!
