Smarter, Faster, but Still Familiar

Its standout feature is the new BioActive sensor, which delivers faster, more accurate health tracking, especially for heart rate and sleep. Samsung also introduced a skin temperature sensor that adds more insight into wellness, though its usefulness still feels limited in daily life.
Performance-wise, the Watch 7 is snappy thanks to the new chip, and Wear OS 5 runs smoother than ever. Battery life remains decent—around 1.5 days with moderate use—but still lags behind some competitors. The design is nearly identical to the Watch 6, which means it's sleek and durable but not fresh or exciting. The rotating bezel is still missed on the base model.
Fitness tracking is solid, with added AI-powered coaching and better auto-detection for workouts. Galaxy ecosystem integration is seamless, especially for Samsung phone users, but others might miss out on some features.
Bottom line: the Galaxy Watch 7 is a reliable, well-rounded smartwatch that improves in key areas like health tracking and software performance. But if you already have a Watch 6, there's not much reason to upgrade. For new buyers or fitness-focused users, it's a strong contender—just not revolutionary.

I have been using Samsung products for over a decade now and I can tell you that the watch 7 does everything you expect from a watch and more. With Galaxy AI, there is so much that I can do on my watch without my phone been nearby. Samsung rules!

Wearable for sleep, longer battery needed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Like the wearability for sleep tracking. Wish battery lasted longer. Also would be easier to charge if had universal charger option.
I miss some Fitbit features. Particularly the ability to use wake alarm based on best wake up time/circadian rhythm.
