We were concerned that because of the size it would be "flimsy". NOT SO -- it is quite substantial and makes perfect waffles. Also easy to clean and store.

For the most part, this is a pretty good waffle iron. I live the compact design. The instructions say that setting 3 makes a good toasted waffle, but I found out that between 4 and 5 works better for me.
