Our grandchildren spend some time with us on the weekend and were requestig waffles. So naturally I went shopping for a waffle maker. I bought this about 2 months ago and we used it right away. I wanted a traditional waffle as opposed to a belgian waffle. And I didn't want anything too large, fancy, complicated. Oh and it should be easy to store. This is perfect! We use it often and it's super easy to use and clean up is a snap.

I've wanted a waffle maker for a long time but always was looking for the best one,. Well.. I never expected to find such great performance in this small, inexpensive unit, it cleans up well, stores easily and cooks quickly. It would be easy to cook individual waffles for a group for breakfaśt. A waffle start to finish is less than a minute and 1/2. The recipes are better than pre made mixes.. it cooks beautifully even and crisp. I couldn't be happier.

I have used this unit a few times and I am satisfied with it. I appreciated the opportunity to buy a waffle maker that was not a Belgian waffle maker. I haven't really gotten the hang of the control with settings 1 through 5--apparently not temperature settings, but just time settings-- in which case, that's not really that useful to me. I just use a kitchen timer.

If you are planning on feeding waffles to the Jr. Chipmunk Troop, this is not for you. If you want outstanding waffles for 1 or 2, this is perfect. Cooking time is short enough so that the 2nd waffle is done before the first one gets cold. Repeatability of desired doneness is excellent once you find your setting of preference, and that brings me to the only negative I have on this. The slide for setting the cook time is rather "sloppy" in that you must play with it a bit to find out just where you are actually set. This should be a very inexpensive fix for Cuisinart that would improve customer satisfaction.
