On the minus side, the one control (light-dark) seems loose. On the plus side, looks nice, doesn't take up much room, easy to use, makes excellent waffles, and does it quickly and cleanly. Don't leave on top of an oven. There is a plastic piece on the bottom that could melt.

I bought this waffle maker 2 months ago, I had a hard time finding one that was not Belgium. My great nephew is autistic and will only eat the classic or thin waffles and they have to be real crispy. I cook them longer than recommended for him, the whole waffle needs to have a crunch and this is perfect. It's small and simple to use with 5 setting and an indicator light when done, this gives me an average time frame to leave the waffle in longer to get it real crispy.
