I have never found a waffle maker that cooks this evenly until I bought the Cuisinart Round Waffle Maker. It makes delicious, evenly-cooked waffles with five browning settings available. Easy to clean, and stands upright for storage as an added bonus!

Heats up quickly. It is nice and compact, taking up little space in the cupboard. We were starting out with a small one so we could decide if we wanted to go with a larger one that made more waffles at one time. Good price for testing that thought.
