Altogether, over many decades, I have purchased five of these Cuisanart waffle makers. I used the first two for over a decade each and finally replaced each of them in turn when the non-stick coating degraded. When it came time to replace the second of these, I purchased two more (#3 and #4) at the same time. Alas, both of these failed for the same reason, specifically, the top heating element failed. #3 failed after a couple of years of use. #4 subsequently failed after a couple of months of use. I have now purchased #5 with the hope that Cuisinart has now corrected the problem that affected #3 and #4. Except for those failures, I have found the waffle maker an excellent bargain that works very well.

This Cuisinart 8" round Waffle maker is fantastic. The small pattern makes the waffles much more pliable and easy to serve and apply whatever topping you want. (Maple syrup, jam, fresh fruit). Will never go back to a large pattern waffle maker. The temperature control is easy to adjust and read.
