Only used once so far but the waffles are significantly thinner than the one made on my previous waffle maker. OK for me but too crispy for my Father with no teeth so he did some grumbling. Still the price made it my budget choice

So far works very well, but would be much better if (1) the plates could be removed for cleaning, and (2) it had an on / off switch (instead of just plugging in / unplugging to turn on on / off).

cuisinart has a good reputation. This product has some short comings. It works. There is no beep to let you know a. If it is heated and ready to use and b. No beep to let you know the waffle is done. The gauge to set the temperature is loose fitting and difficult to adjust. The top is loose fitting but closes okay.
