I wanted to like this as I am a fan of the Cusinart brand however this item fell short of my expectations. No locking lid, not deep enough, batter spilled out from sides. Sadly this is not a great product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easy to use, store and clean. Good price for a waffle maker. I haven’t mastered golden brown waffles yet, even on highest setting. They are cooked but light in color. Maybe it’s the operator LOL

Great little waffle maker. Actually non stick. When I saw how small it is compared to what I've been using I thought I may have made a mistake ordering this but, the waffles are just the right size for my wife and me. I have the crispness setting all the way up. Makes very good, nice and crunchy waffles. Since purchasing this I saw Michael Symon use it on his outdoor cooking show.
