This is an excellent waffle-maker, and exactly what you would expect. The only reason that it's not 5 stars is that there is a definite warm/burning plastic smell that has not reduced after 5 uses of the machine. After working in IT for a long time I know it's not the smell of something actually wrong with the machine, but it is unpleasant.

This is a bare bones waffle maker, but once you try the first one and adjust, you’ll know how hot and how long to cook your waffles without relying on the indicator light. The light goes on and off based on its temperature rather than when it’s filled and closed. That’s the only finicky thing about it. I recommend keeping the plates seasoned with oil as suggested, and I’ve been using the basic recipe with gluten free flour and I’m loving having waffles available whenever I want. This waffle maker is inexpensive, easy to use, and easy to clean and maintain. I highly recommend it if you’re looking for a basic waffle maker that you don’t want to spend much on.

My husband loved the waffles but I like my waffles more crispy and even at the high setting they were not crispy. Other than that it is a great waffle maker.

Great little waffle maker for one person. I like my waffles crisp and this does the job. If you like thick waffles this isnt the one for you. Only thing I can give a negative to is that they dont freeze well. But thats probably more related to the waffle mix than the waffle maker.
