I bought this to replace a waffle iron that died. This Cuisinart works ok. It is a little loose but that doesn’t seem to affect the way it works. I’ve only used it twice, the first time I set it at 3 and the waffles came out fine. The second time I had to put it on 5 to get a little brown color. I wish it had a sound when the waffles are done. It’s a bit annoying to have to watch for the light to change to green - I make a double batch each time to freeze some.

Excellent waffle cooker! Overall construction of the unit itself is very cheap. The first one broke at the hinge, the metal part, in less than 2 months. Cuisinart replaced the unit within 2 weeks after following all the steps required. All problems considered, the waffles are excellent!
