Waffle maker makes nice waffles, with setting number 3 being about right in color and doneness. I had a little trouble getting the right mixture thickness so the maker would fill up and cook on top without running out the sides of the maker.
My real disappointment is to the quality. The handle that sets the color is so loose that you never know where #3 really is. You have to move it back and forth between 2-1/2 and 3-1/2 until it feels about centered.
I asked if there was a repair I could make but have not received an answer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This Classic Waffle Maker is a lot of fun to work with. Just about every batter we have tried has let the waffle peel off with no stick as soon as your green light comes on. The level switch allows you to adjust for your favorite texture, from light to crispy exterior. You will need to experiment to find your favorite. Our only problem was when we folded fresh blueberries into the batter, which did burst during cooking and did stick to the maker. This was our only setback to a really great, easy to use maker. Just don't forget to unplug it when you are finished, there is no on-off button.

Have only used it once but I had the identical product before. Still performs very well. Heats up fairly quickly. Takes a little trial and error to get the right setting but that’s to be expected. Only complaint is the setting lever is flimsy. That’s what broke on the older model I had and it doesn’t look like the issue has been addressed.

So far this is the best waffle maker ever! Perfect waffles every time.....I give it a 4 star rating only because the it is too easy to burn your fingers...the chrome finish is hot to the touch and should be replaced with a heat resistant shield.
I would recommend this to a friend!
