I'm very happy with this iron; its simple to use and clean, stores easily and cooks great waffles! The basic waffle batter in the manual is a good starter recipe.
The preset cook settings are helpful, although I find we need to set it to 5 to get golden brown waffles. They come out cooked but white at the recommended 3. You also need to keep an eye on the light indicators as there's no sound to let you know the waffle is finished.
If we had kids I'd probably want a larger iron. But for my partner and I this is great for a luxury weekend breakfast in our little apartment kitchen.

Flimsy made use twice and came apart. Purchased a less expensive one from another brand that was more durable. Disappointed since Cuisinart is such a well known brand for quality.

I first bought this Cuisinart Waffle Iron 15 years ago. It never failed me. Just needed a new one after moving overseas & back to the U.S. Only criticism is that the new ones have a temperature adjustment lever that has too much wiggle-play in it. Later checked out others at the stores & they all had this issue.

I have had many waffle irons. All have flaws. This one does too, but in general for the price, it makes a decent waffle. It has a pretty flimsy hinge. I'm not sure how long it will last. But for the price...
