Bought this to replace our V10. It's ok, but doesn't measure up to the V10. Was disappointed it didn't come with the stair/furniture head, but fortunately, our old V10 attachments fit, so we're using them. Charging station was also different, but was a direct swap out on the mounting holes.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love my Dyson, but the battery only last 10 minutes. Is this normal or did I receive a faulty battery?

Depending on the model and the suction mode being used, run time can vary; for example, using “Boost” or “Max” mode will drain the battery much faster than standard mode. I just used my new vacuum for the first time and the battery didn’t even last long enough to finish a small bedroom. I had to charge it three times to use it throughout my small townhome. Dyson is sending me a new battery and hopefully that fixes it, but not what I was hoping for when spending so much money on a vacuum.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've had this for several weeks now, and it has made life easier for me. It isn't terribly heavy, and like all Dyson products, the suction is excellent. It has two settings which I've found useful; it just isn't necessary to use the high suction setting on tile or laminate flooring. My one complaint is that the mechanism that is used to empty the dust bin is sticky and catches on itself often, I'm always in fear that I broke something. The directions in how to use it are vague, and while I've figured out how to do it, it doesn't always slide out as it should. The runtime seems to be adequate, My wife ran the battery down once, but it generally has plenty of power to last through the end of the jobs we need it for.

I received this as a Christmas gift. I was excited but I am disappointed because the vacuum has shut off almost every time I used it within the first 15 mins of using it. I have to plug it in and let it charge for hours in order to use it again. Unlike my plug-in Dyson model, I can transition from a bathroom carpet to tile with no problem. This model shut off when transitioning from tile to the bathroom carpet. Again, I had to plug it in and let it charge for hours. I only used it 5 minutes! I never vacuum for an hour which is how long the vacuum is supposed to be able to run for. However, I really like to ease of using it in doing the stairs, inside cabinets, around the toilet and in small spaces, and for quick jobs.

This vacuum was a 2 fold gift from my husband for Christmas and our new home. So far, I’m underwhelmed. Not impressed with having to download and app for the users manual. Upon further investigation, I discovered this vac only provides 25 minutes worth of use time when fully charged. Lastly, the suction, well, it sucks and not the kind needed to run a successful usage. We will look for a different model and return this one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Disappointed...I've had one before that lasted almost 2 years. I ordered another one...it lasted a total of two vacuums before it failed to charge..I don't recommend battery operated vacuums...will go back to a corded one.
