We've had our Dyson v8 for a few weeks now, and we can't be happier. Things about it that we love are it really is lightweight. There is no strain at all to hold the handheld so someone who has weight limit restrictions should be able to use this with no problems. We have hardwood floors throughout our home, so the 40 minute run time is perfect. We mounted the charging base on the wall, and we love how easy it is to switch between tools. My only complaint is I wish there was a light on the cleaner head, but that doesn't stop the vacuum from getting all the dirt so it's not too big a deal.
We've wanted a Dyson for a long time, and it really was worth the wait to save up and buy one. Highly recommend if your budget allows. This model is a great entry model for new Dyson customers.

I couldn’t wait to own and it really delivered. It has excellent suction and so many different attachment that make it so versatile. But the battery doesn’t last long enough to vacuum clean the whole house

I currently own 3 Dyson Vacs. 2 of them are over 15 years old. I have done some maintenance on them and they are still going strong. The V8 has been a total surprise. Especially with the hard wood beater bar. It is great for cleaning the dusty under bed build up that occurs no matter how clean your house is. It has made life just a little bit easier. Great stick vacuum! 2 speeds and the high speed will pick your throw rugs up; very strong vacuum.
