Couldn't get the dust container empty function to operate correctly. I returned the unit to the company from where I purchased it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

While I had it it was good. Had to send it back for a replacement. Waiting for that now. The canister portion came apart and could not be put back together. Great customer service though

Bought for wife a as Christmas gift and she was very disappointed after using it . Darn machine didn’t hold a charge , wouldn’t last as long as advertised.

I love no cord, good suction, easy empty, light weight, and small enough to slip into my closet. I also like the emails informing me about the best ways to use my Dyson. The only thing that I’d worry about is my son has the same Dyson and after 18 months of use he barely gets 2 minutes of use till he has to recharge. He has followed all your instructions and is disappointed in this feature.
I recently purchased this vacuum and overall I like it. We previously had a V6 which lasted 8 years that we liked but it broke down so we purchased this one. I appreciate some of the changes made in this model like having a switch for the max suction instead of a push button and also that the silver internal filter in the bin comes out when you release the latch which allows for better cleaning of the bin. A problem concerns the silver internal filter within the bin being too close to the bin's walls. This limited distance allows material to build up at the bin entrance with there is a certain amount and block further material from entering the bin and circling. Because of this, the bin does not get completely filled. The V6 did not do this.
Better than the Simplicity which the vac shop owner now sells. The lever to empty the dustbin on the origin is harder to work than the one on my 4-yr-old Dyson stick was. He didn't bother to tell me that I could buy Dyson parts online and probably fix my original Dyson myself (as my daughter in law did). He said that Dyson discontinues spare parts for a model when its replacement appears, usually 2 yrs later. I need 2--MAYBE 3--attachments but couldn't find them sold separately online; if I need 2, what are the other 4 called? Clutter.

Great appliance,easy to use and maneuver. Great cleaning power, very happy with this product. Whish the battery lasted a little longer. Need to recharge between cleaning.
