This is not what I expected. I had a ball upright vacuum for 10 years. I wish I had gotten that style again. Having to hold the power constantly is annoying and it should have a light display to show dirt better.

So far so good! Light weight and easy to use. The sweeping heads are shorter than I expected, but I'm adjusting. I 1st used it on max power, but the battery died before I finished the house. Dyson suggests only using max mode for big messes to save battery, and that is true!
This lightweight vacuum punches high above its weight class with tons of suction, sturdy design, nimble maneuverability, and ease of use. It’s a sleek, easy-to-store vacuum that moves from hardwood to tile to rugs with ease. I especially love the wall-mounted recharging station to keep everything in one place, tucked away but convenient all at once.
I returned the Dyson V8. It was a very effective vacuum, however there was no on/off switch. You had to depress the trigger on the handle the entire time you vacuumed. Very tiring especially with arthritis. Never heard of a vacuum with no on/off switch

Had this charged for a full day and night, it lasted about 10 minutes and stopped. Not worth nothing. I have the original Dyson I bought years ago and wanted to get away from the cord but I guess corded I shall stay.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We have used it only three times, we recharged the battery each time and today it stopped working after less then 15 minutes. We had another one for years so we are very disappointed right now
