I would never have expected that a vacuum’s power would need to be held down by the user in order to stay on. I would rate the product 5 stars if I didn’t have to hold the power button on.

I like it but don’t love it! In the normal setting the battery will last longer but suction isn’t great. The max setting is great but only last 7 minutes. I love it being cordless but would think with the Dyson technology would do a bit better than it does.

The battery dies so quick. I can’t finish a room without having to stop and charge the vacuum. This thing basically has to live on the charger, which makes wireless pointless.

I had a cheap stick vacuum the kids got me for Christmas a couple of years ago that I will be comparing to the Dyson 8 Absolute I just bought. The Dyson has great suction on Max but the battery (new) will only last 9 minutes. The cheap one had great suction and lasted a little longer. The Dyson comes apart very easily whereas the cheap one was very hard to separate (the button was hard to push). The Dyson feels like quality plastic. The cheap one was heavy thick plastic. My favorite feature on my cheap one was the light on the power head. It helped you to see the dirt so that you wouldn't miss any spots. The Dyson does not have a light. Overall-I miss my cheap vacuum. It did a better job than the Dyson. I bought Dyson because my husband is always trying to get me to buy quality products. This time I think it was the name I paid for. (BTW-my old vacuum was still running great. I had an accident with it and removed the motor from the mother board and it couldn't be fixed. My fault)
