It works okay, battery life could be better. It isn't made to be a heavy duty work horse. That's fine. The primary shortcoming concerns a lack of storage / organization for all the attachments. What does one do with them when not in use? Where can one keep them?

This is my first Dyson vacuum cleaner, and I absolutely love it. I love the two different types of suctions and all the attachments. I have a large house so having a cordless a vacuum cleaner is very attractive. My only wish that I didn’t have to keep my finger on the button for the vacuum cleaner to work. I wish they could invent a switch with the option would be to hold the button down or to have it automatic. I’m so happy I purchased my Dyson V8 and would definitely recommend it to my friends and family.

Love it. Only drawback with the V8 is that the dust bin is way too small and fills up very quickly especially when vacuuming carpets. I only use it with the fluffy on hardwood floors which gives them a nice clean polish. I use the V11 with the large dust bin on carpets.
