I decided it was time to splurge on a vacuum cleaner and I was right! It’s so light and easy to use, and the attachments mean I can clean EVERYTHING and EVERYWHERE! Worth every penny!
The suction is great, cleans much better than my last vacuum and is much easier to empty the dust/dirt out. However it's definitely harder to use. The swivel isn't super versatile, the length doesn't shrink/extend so you're stuck with one length, and there's a trigger rather than an on/off switch so depending how you hold and adjust it you'll be turning it in and off a hundred times while vacuuming and holding the trigger forces the handle into my thumb knuckle leaving me with a bruise every time I vacuum. Cleans well but I'd buy a different one next time.
For my small one bedroom apartment with wood and tile floors, and two large thick rugs, it’s absolutely perfect. The dust and debris it pulled up from my rugs the first couple passes is both mind boggling and appalling, but an incredible testament to the machine. If I had more money to purchase the next power level and size up, I might, if I lived in a larger space. But for my current circumstances I couldn’t be happier with the battery life, the power (two settings), portability, and compact size. If you aren’t a fan of house chores, this is the type of help you need. No cords to unravel and re-wrap, no bulk, no barriers, no excuses. Just pick the thing up and start vacuuming. It’s so easy. That’s what I’ve been missing and needing all along as far as cleaning is concerned.
Probably the best gift I could have bought myself. It work like a charm and makes my life a lot easier as I run a 3 bedroom Airbnb. Worth the big price tag, go ahead and buy it, you won’t be sorry!
I have used my Dyson 8 Absolute for 2 weeks now and I continue to be impressed. Kudos to the engineers who designed this. I use it on my home which is primarily hardwood floors with fair amount of dog hair and it does a super job. Battery life allows me to do all my downstairs in one charge and the upstairs in another charge. I use the fluffy roller on the hardwoods and the regular roller on area rugs and runners. Attachments are well designed and have a solid quality to them and super easy to swap out. Can't find any real faults, has exceeded my expectations.
